The church gave us a wonderful 'send off.' They had a dinner and a talent show where congregants sang and danced and told jokes - some of the songs and some of the laughter was directed my way. I loved it.
So now I guess I'll concentrate on writing eulogies. That has become my new passion and pastime whenever they are requested. It is a ministry that is needed, most certainly - one where we are helping grieving people to be less stressed and to be confident that they will be coherent when they deliver this important speech about their loved one.
How do you write a eulogy? You write a eulogy by knowing the loved one. When we write a eulogy we begin with our Collecting Memories questionnaire (you can see it on our site) and the the eulogy is written from the information provided. Our staff are quite adept at honing in on the writers speech patterns and writing a eulogy that truly fits the reader - and is a beautiful tribute to the one who has died.
