It's really a pretty cool site. The idea is that you take a couple or a few minutes every so often to just look at beautiful scenery, listen to soothing music or the sounds of nature or listen to words of peace. I can't help but to think that, if everyone did this each mid-morning and mid-afternoon, our own personal worlds would be better places to be.
Being a writer of eulogies and dealing frequently with grieving people, I can't help but to think this "calm" approach might be beneficial in times of crisis and heartbreak as well. Sometimes we just need to get outside of ourselves to calm the inside of ourselves. That's how I start writing eulogies, in fact. I begin by looking over the questionnaire loved ones have filled out and then establish a sense of calmness within myself and try to put myself into the life of the person I am writing for and try to visualize and get to know, as best I can, the person I am eulogizing.
Anyway, check it out: http://www.calm.com
